The capital of our nation, Washington, DC, is a great place to enjoy a history-filled vacation with your favorite pooch. Take your dog when you visit the National Mall and, after a long day exploring the city, stop at one of the city's restaurants that offer doggie happy hour. Washington, DC also has many parks where you and your pet can take a nice stroll in the outdoors.  Be sure to take the time to visit Rock Creek Park, an oasis of nature in the city.
