Idaho is probably best know for its amazing scenery and expanse of outdoors and all the recreational activities. However, the city of Coeur d'Alene has a lot to offer visitors who want a relaxing city vacation, or need to relax after enjoying the recreation that can be found throughout the state. Wine lovers can explore the local wineries in the Coeur d'Alene area. After enjoying some wine tasting perhaps visitors can take in a show or enjoy some live entertainment.
Coeur d'Alene also has some beautiful art galleries, with a variety of different styles of art. The Museum of North Idaho is another attraction that visitors will enjoy. This museum has a variety of exhibits ranging from logging to Diamond Cup Hydroplane Races, and everything in between. The museum preserves and shares the stories of the region through its many exhibits.
Visitors looking for other activities to fill their evenings can also stop for an evening at the Coeur d'Alene Casino/Resort Hotel. Not only is this an excellent resort where visitors can spend a relaxing evening, but it is also a local casino. Visitors to Coeur d'Alene can enjoy some of their time at the casino.
This destination also has fabulous shopping and dining options for those looking to spend a little money on Idaho items. The Downtown and Midtown areas have many shopping options combined with dining options to create a fun day out. These areas have fun, small and local stores for visitors to find locally made souvenirs. After a long day exploring all of the fantastic boutiques, visitors will need some delicious food to re-energize. Coeur d'Alene has a range of dining options from fine dining to amazing coffee shops. No matter what type of shopping and dining experience visitors are looking for, Coeur d'Alene has something for everyone.
The city is also great for families. Not only will children enjoy the lakes and outdoors surrounding the city, but the nearby Silverwood Theme Park and Boulder Beach Water Park is an excellent place to enjoy some family fun. During the summer, the theme park is a great place to cool down while enjoying all of the fun water slides and rides.
Of course, no trip to Coeur d'Alene Idaho would be complete without enjoying some of the amazing recreational opportunities in the area. Silver Mountain is a good spot to enjoy some great mountain biking, and there is even a gondola that takes people and their bikes to the top of the mountain. The North Idaho Centennial Trail is an excellent route to enjoy some hiking around some of the area. Other notable trails include the Route of Hiawatha and the Trail of the Coeur d'Alene's.
The area surrounding Coeur d'Alene has many lakes, which are amazing during the hot summer months. The lakes are fun to go boating, fishing, swimming and other types of water recreation. the Coeur d'Alene City Beach is a fun spot to enjoy some picnicking and more. Throughout the region there are many lovely outdoor and indoor attractions for any visitor to love. Whether it is the local shopping or the amazing lakes, Coeur d'Alene has something for everyone.
