PRAIRIE LAKES

Nebraska
PRAIRIE LAKES

As its name suggests, lakes and ponds abound in this region. Lush bushes, trees, and undergrowth hug the shores, making this prime territory for wildlife viewing and bird watching. Fish for bass, crappie, pike, and walleye near the brushy banks of the Red Willow Reservoir or at Lake Maloney. Watch for cottontails in the plum thickets, or explore the canyons, looking for quail, deer, and pheasants.
