Rolling hills and farm country make this region a relaxing getaway spot. Venture east of Pittsburgh into the Laurel Highlands for some of the best fall color (September and October). Near the Maryland border, Mount Davis reaches the state’s highest point at 3,213 feet. Look for covered bridges and quaint farming towns, or venture into Pittsburgh for culture and history. Pittsburgh sits on three rivers, the Ohio, Monongahela, and Allegheny.
