Look for sapsuckers, brown creepers, cedar waxwings, parulas, vieros, waterfowl, raptors, ibis, and egrets. Wildlife thrives in this region too, including swamp-dwellers like alligators, turtles, and frogs. Play in the sand at Huntington or Myrtle beaches, or try fishing in the surf.
