Anastasia State Park

Anastasia State Park in St. Augustine features amazing beaches for visitors to enjoy. Blue Spring State Park

This park is located on the largest spring on the St. Johns River. Visitors to this park will find that the clear waters of the spring make for fantastic water recreation, including snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing, canoeing and more. In addition, Blue Spring is a designated Manatee Refuge and has a growing population of Manatees from mid-November through March. Although the spring and run are closed during Manatee Season there are still plenty of fun activities.

Ellie Scholler Homosassa Springs State Park

Visitors to Florida that want to see some of the state's fascinating wildlife should take some time to stop at the Ellie Scholler Homosassa Springs State Park. Some of the animals that visitors at the park can see include black bears, river otters, alligators and crocodiles. One of the most amazing features of the park are the West Indian manatees, which can be seen in through the underwater observatory.

Fort Zachary Taylor State Park

This is the most southern of Florida's state parks, located at Key West. Fort Zachary Taylor is a historic landmark dating back to the Civil War. It was built to defend the coastline of the United States. Visitors can enjoy guided tours of the fort every day. After enjoy a tour of the fort there are many more activities to enjoy at this beautiful park. Located within the park is one of best beaches in Key West. Myakka River State Park

This Florida State Park is filled with fun activities. The Myakka River, which flows through the park, is designated as a Florida Wild and Scenic River. Visitors to this state park can enjoy hiking, biking, birding and more recreational activities. The Myakka River State Park also has a great nature trail through the treetops, and has a tower for great views of the region. In addition the park also offers airboat tours of the Upper Myakka Lake, as well as tours of the park's backcountry.

Ponce de Leon Springs State Park

Named for the famous Spanish explorer that traveled to the region in the early 1500s, this beautiful spring and park are a fantastic destination. Located in the northwestern region of Florida, visitors can enjoy swimming in the spring. Throughout the year the water remains constant in temperature, a refreshing 68 degrees. In addition visitors can walk on the parks trails and much more.

T.H. Stone Memorial St. Joseph Peninsula State Park

This park is located along Cape San Blas. It has amazing white sand beaches, which are some of the best to be found in Florida and the country. The park also has amazing high dunes and access to boating and more. While enjoying the sandy beach and the warm gentle waters at St. Joseph Peninsula State Park visitors can also go boating, swimming, snorkeling and more. This park is also a prime destination for summer scalloping. During the summer season the bay scallop population in St. Joseph Bay is fairly significant. In fact visitors can just go out into the bay and collect scallops to make a delicious fresh meal.

Wekiwa Springs State Park

Wekiwa Springs State Park can be found at the headwaters of the Wekiva River. Visitors to central Florida can enjoy the swimming, hiking and much more at this wonderful park. The Wekiva River is a fantastic destination for canoeing, hiking, biking and much more. Weeki Wachee Springs State Park

Windley Key Fossil Reef Geological State Park

This amazing park preserves both ancient and modern history of Florida. The land was at one point a quarry, and the quarry was used to help build the Overseas Railroad. Visitors to this park can learn all about the quarry and see the fossilized coral that makes up the land of the park, called Key Largo limestone. In addition to seeing the fossilized coral and the quarry machinery, visitors can see all of the natural features of the park on the trails.
