Geneva Sate Park

Located on the beautiful Lake Erie this park is a wonderful destination for visitors to the state to enjoy the northeastern shore of the lake. Lake Erie is a wonderful destination for swimming, boating and fishing. The park's sandy beach provides a comfortable spot to enjoy swimming on the lake. While at this park visitors can also explore the park's marshes and estuaries while enjoying the many opportunities for outdoor recreation.

Hocking Hills State Park

One of Ohio's most stunning State Parks is Hocking HIlls State Park. The Sandstone throughout the park has been weathered and eroded creating some excellent attractions for visitors to explore. Some of the park's must-see spots are Ash Cave, Old Man's Cave, Cantwell Cliffs and Rock Cave. This park has plenty of hiking, biking and other recreational opportunities for visitors to enjoy as well.

Hueston Woods State Park

This park is filled with activities for visitors to enjoy. Hueston Woods State Park covers almost 3,000 acres. Visitors can enjoy camping, staying in one of the cottages or even staying in the lodge. While enjoying a stay at this park visitors can spend time hiking on one of many trails as well as enjoying recreation on Acton Lake, golfing on the golf course and more. Hueston Woods is also a good destination for fossil hunting.

John Bryan State Park

John Bryan State Park has some wonderful scenic options for visitors to enjoy. One feature of the park is the limestone gorge, which was created by the Little Miami River. Visitors have many options for enjoying this fantastic park and gorge, including 9 hiking trails, biking trails, boating, fishing on the Little Miami River and even rock climbing and rappelling.

Lake Hope State Park

Beautiful Lake Hope in Lake Hope State Park is a beautiful Ohio destination. Visitors to this park will enjoy the rugged forested landscape for recreation as well as the beautiful lake for enjoying water recreation. This park is a wonderful destination for hiking through the forest, looking for spring wildflowers and much more. In addition visitors can learn about the iron smelting industry which once took place at this destination.

Malabar Farm State Park

Located in Pleasant Valley, Malabar Farm State Park is a great spot for visitors to experience the agricultural tradition of Ohio. In addition visitors can learn about the historic author Louis Bromfield who created the farm. Visitors to this park can take guided tours of the park, including the Big House, as well as the farm. Families will love seeing the farm animals that live on the farm and much more.

Maumee Bay State Park

Maumee Bay State Park is a destination filled with recreational facilities, as well as wonderful outdoor recreation. Visitors to this park can spend their vacation in the lodge, cottages or camping. One of the facilities that visitors will love is the Nature Center, which has a boardwalk trail and is a great spot to learn about the natural environment of Ohio. Visitors can also enjoy the unique natural environment created by Lake Erie and the surrounding land, the park offers plenty of hiking, swimming, fishing and other types of outdoor recreation.

Mohican State Park

This is one of the state's most beautiful parks and has a fascinating natural environment. Mohican State Park is surrounded by a state forest, which makes the recreational opportunities of this park almost limitless. Visitors to Mohican State Park can enjoy views of the Clear Fork Gorge, the Mohican River as well as the park's hemlock forest. At Mohican State Park visitors can spend time hiking, mountain biking, fishing, boating and much more. Another attraction of the park is the Wolf Creek/Pine Run Grist Mill which is being restored and acts as a museum, which visitors can tour to see how the historic mill operated.

Punderson State Park

Punderson State Park offers visitors to Ohio the opportunity to spend a vacation in the lovely manor house at the park, or in one of the comfortable cottages. In addition this park is one of the state's best destinations for winter recreation. The park has a lighted sled hill, as well as snowmobile trails, cross-country ski trails, and even a dog sled trail. Throughout the rest of the year visitors can enjoy boating on Punderson Lake, hiking on one of the trails, playing a game of disc golf and more.

Shawnee State Park

This state park is located in the foothills of the Appalachians, as well as near the Ohio River. Visitors to this park are sure to love the unique natural beauty of the region, including the valleys and wooded hills of the park. Visitors can learn about the region at the Nature Center. In addition the park is a great destination for hiking and biking, surrounded by the Shawnee State Forest, the park has many options for outdoor recreation.
