Begin in the town of Green River, then travel south to Moab, home of Arches National Park. To the south and west are Natural Bridges National Monument and the mind-boggling geology of Canyonlands National Park. Further west, the Glen Canyon Recreation Area shines like a cool oasis in the red-rock wilderness. Visit the dam or watch for cliff swallows from a raft or kayak in the lake. Look for the elusive ringtail cat and petroglyphs drawn by Utah's earliest inhabitants. |
