Utah Camping and RVing Travel Guides

NORTHEASTERN

Utah
NORTHEASTERN

Dinosaurs once roamed across Utah’s northeastern corner, a land that’s now covered in snowy mountain peaks and evergreen forests. This is a wonderful place for a back-woods adventure. King’s Peak, Utah’s highest mountain, caps this region at 13,528 feet. Further east, discover the wild beauty of Flaming Gorge, a 91-mile long lake that appeared as a side effect of the Glen Canyon Dam. This lake bears some of the area’s best fishing and boating. On Utah’s border with Colorado lies Dinosaur National Monument, the largest quarry of Jurassic-period bones in the world. Coyote, rabbits, deer, bighorn sheep, snakes, and beaver all call this region home.
